Leh, Sep 08 (KNO): Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has arrived in Ladakh to begin shooting for his much-anticipated film, Battle of Galwan, set against the breathtaking landscapes of the region. A photograph of the actor from the sets has gone viral on social media, fueling excitement among fans.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film is a tribute to the courage and sacrifice of Indian soldiers during the June 15, 2020, Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese forces.
Salman Khan is playing the role of Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu, who led his troops with remarkable bravery and was posthumously awarded the Maha Vir Chakra, the nation’s second-highest wartime gallantry honour.
Producers of the film said Salman Khan is the “perfect fit” for the role, combining his trademark intensity with emotional depth.
